Share Pool Bonuses

Share Pool Bonuses: A percent of YLEO's total commissionable sales for a given month is assigned to three Bonus Pools. Each Bonus Pool is divided into shares according to the number of Distributors who qualify to earn the Bonus. There are currently four Share Pool Bonuses, each with a different percent of the total YLEO Pool:
  • Rising Star Team Bonus (1%)
  • Generation Leadership Bonus (6.25%)
  • Diamond Express Profit Sharing Pool Bonus (.5%)
Qualifications for shares vary according to rank:

1. Rising Star Team Bonus: 1% of Pool divided by number of qualified Distributors.
Available to Star, Sr. Star, and Executive who maintain 100PV Essential Rewards (ER) autoship.
- 1 share: Legs 1, 2, and 3 maintain 100PV ER and 300 OGV
- 2 shares: Legs 1, 2, and 3 maintain 100PV ER and 300 OGV; Legs 4 and 5 maintain 100PV ER and 500 OGV
- 3 shares: Legs 1, 2, and 3 maintain 100PV ER and 300 OGV; Legs 4 and 5 maintain 100PV ER and 500 OGV; Legs 6 and 7 maintain 100PV ER and 1,000 OGV
(Added together = 6 total possible shares per qualified Distributor)

2. Generation Leadership Bonus: 6.25% of Pool divided by number of qualified Distributors.
Available to Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Crown Diamond, and Royal Crown Diamond.
Total possible shares vary per rank:
Silver = 1 share
Gold = 2 shares
Platinum = 3 shares
Diamond = 4 shares
Crown Diamond = 5 shares
Royal Crown Diamond = 6 shares

3. Diamond Express Profit Sharing Pool: .5% of Pool divided by paid as rank.
Available to Diamond, Crown Diamond, and Royal Crown Diamond, who meet requirements of domestic and international meetings led, and number of Young Living-sponsored events attended that month.
Diamond = 1 share
Crown Diamond = 2 shares
Royal Crown Diamond = 3 shares

PV: Personal Volume. The value (usually equal to the wholesale price) of products purchased by a Distributor and/or his/her personally sponsored Customers.

OGV: Organization Group Volume. The total sales volume of your entire organization--including all Customers and Distributors (includes your PV).

PGV: Personal Group Volume. For Silver or higher ranks in the compensation plan, Personal Group Volume is determined by the sales volume of the organization directly supported by the distributor. PGV accumulates throughout each commission period. This is the sum of PV from the distributor down to, but not including, the next Silver or higher rank for each leg of the sales organization. PGV in these cases does not include any Silver or higher rank and the entirety of volume in their organization. PGV also does not include any volume from qualifying legs used for rank qualification in a commission period.

Leg: A personally sponsored Distributor and his/her organization.

Leg X OGV: How many legs with how much OGV is required to qualify for a rank.

Customer Earnings: 24% on sales to your personally sponsored Customers (24% is the difference between the Customer price and the wholesale price).

* Fast Start Bonus: A Bonus paid in addition to all other commissions and bonuses. This Bonus has two parts and a change in the first level Unilevel commission payout (just while the Bonus is being paid). The two parts of the Bonus are: 1) You earn a 25% Bonus on your newly enrolled Distributor's PV for their first three months (with a maximum payout of $200 per month for that Distributor), and 2) Should that new Distributor enroll a new Distributor, you earn a 10% Bonus on the PV of that new Member's PV for their first three months (with a maximum payout of $200 per month for that Member).

The Unilevel commission payout change: During the time you are receiving this Bonus on any given new Member, your Unilevel commission on that new person's PV will be calculated at a rate reduced by 70%. In other words, if the person you enroll is on your first level, where the Unilevel commission is 8%, your bonus would be paid on only 30% of the person's PV, (thus, about 2.49% v. the usual 8%). (Doing the math, with a 25% bonus on 100% of the new member's PV plus 2.49% of that same PV, you get a total of 27.49% versus the 8% otherwise gained through commissions only.) This change in no way effects how your OGV or PGV is calculated. It effects only how your commission is calculated on a new Member for whom you are also receiving the Fast Start Bonus.


Unilevel: Commissions paid on the first 5 levels of your organization. (Note: This does not include your PV.)

Dynamic Compression: When commissions are calculated, volume compresses up until each level contains a qualifying order of at least 50PV.

Generation Bonus: When you become a Silver Distributor, you begin a generation, which continues down to but does not include the next Silver (or above) Distributor in any leg in your organization. You earn an extra commission (see diagram above) on all sales volume in your organization down to the next Silver or above. As Distributors in your organization advance to the rank of Silver, new generations are created. You earn 2.5% on your first Silver generation and 3% on additional Silver generations up to 7 generations, depending on your rank. On the eighth level, a 1% commission is paid. A generation may extend to unlimited depth in a leg where no Silver Distributors appear.

Share Pool Bonuses: A percentage of YLEO's total commissionable sales for a given month is assigned to a bonus Pool. That Pool is made up of different Bonus programs, and the percentage assigned to each Bonus program is divided into shares by the number of Distributors who meet qualifying criteria for a given Bonus. There are currently three Share Pool Bonuses, each equal to a different percent of the total Pool: the Rising Star Team Bonus (1%), the Generation Leadership Bonus (6.25%), and the Diamond Express Profit Sharing Pool Bonus (.5%).
